Pastor Richard A. Moore was born in Cincinnati, OH. He received his B.A. in English and Music from Concordia College, Bronxville, NY in 1980, his Masters of Divinity in 1985 and has begun his doctoral studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. He has served one pastorate for 21 years at Immanuel Lutheran Chapel in St. Louis County, MO, prior to his accepting the call to serve at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church and School in Winona.
Pastor Moore has served the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as a Circuit Counselor for 16 years of his ministry and as a delegate to 6 synodical conventions, including service on several floor committees. He has been a LWML Zone Counselor, a member of the St. Louis Lutheran High School Association Board of Directors, a member of the Lutheran Altenheim Board, the host of the radio program “Aging in Perspective” that deals with issues of aging and has served as a regular guest leader for our synodical radio station’s (KFUO) program entitled “The Bible Study.”
Pastor Moore is married with two children. His wife, Laurie, has chosen to be a homemaker. She is a social worker by profession with experience in the area of health care and in working with those who are mentally challenged. They have been blessed with two daughters. Rachael, 21, is a junior attending Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana with a major in Ballet–Pedagogy. Johanna, 15, will be a sophomore this fall at Hope Lutheran High, Winona.
