DISASTER RELIEF FUND

Gifts specifically designated for the "Sept. 11th air attacks" will be used entirely for that purpose. Contributions to the "General Disaster Fund" will support response to other current and future disasters.

The Synod will use resources to aid victims of air attacks in a variety of ways.
  1. a program of care for the care givers.
2. workshops for school children, teachers, and parents.
3. coordination with efforts of the American Red Cross.
4. coordination with Church World Service for a regional network of pastoral care resources.
5. grief counseling and a 'ministry of presence.'
